Sunday
A guided walk through the impressive gorge. This is not
particularly taxing on the legs but is a wonderful spot. We climb
along a rough path on the eastern side of the gorge until we meet
the river where we stop for a bite to eat before crossing the
torrent over a cable and rope bridge.
The return path is cut through
the cliff side on the western face with some imposing views. There
is a hand rail for the faint at heart! After this we will take a
short drive to the thermal spa at St.Thomas for a dip in the sulphur
pools which come from deep below the mountains at over 38 degrees C.
Its a really good walk which does manage to keep children
interested!

Monday
White water day. This is a 8k guided descent through a beautiful
limestone canyon on grade 3+ white water with lots of fun on the
way. In the afternoon older children and adults can try
hydrospeeding, or you can take another raft descent. |
|
|
|
Tuesday
We start at the top of the ski station for a guided 17k descent
on mountain bikes to Spain where we can enjoy a few beers (or
cokes!) and tapas. Its a really beautiful ride (98% down hill) with
some stunning scenery. |

Wednesday
Morning - The adventure park high ropes course through the
forest. There are 5 separate courses which start at about 6 feet of
the ground to build confidence and work up to the black course which
is over 40 feet high. There are 100m zip slides and a variety of
other Tarzan like obstacles. Instruction is given before commencing
and its really great fun for all, especially as you can quit in
between stages if its getting too high!
In the afternoon you can visit the lake where you can hire canoes or
try your hand at sailing a catamaran. (Payable locally) |
|
|
|
Thursday
Free day - you can choose from rock climbing, bouldering (free
climbing without ropes up to 3 metres), a wonderful tandem paraglide
flight or horse riding. All activities on Thursday are payable
locally. |

Friday
The grand finale. Canyoning is basically descending a beautiful
gorge in the water with a guide by natural slides, jumps and
abseils. Its real adrenaline stuff but challenges can be missed if
any one doesn't fancy them and we wear wet suits so its not too
nippy! It is really amazing and the children will talk about it for
years!
