The MTB Pass'Portes du Soleil is a mountain trek ranging from 1000 to 2250m in altitude, in both France and Switzerland, where you can discover the fabulous Portes du Soleil MTB terrain and its stunning scenery.

The 80 km circuit uses 15 lifts, with 7000m of downhill riding. Different variations will be organized for mountain bikers wishing to cycle up hill.

The trek takes one day, and participants can choose whether to ride it on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The other 2 days are spent enjoying some of the 650kms of way marked runs ranging from fire trails to World Cup downhill runs.

This year Morzine will host the event, with stands and free bike testing from the worlds’ leading manufacturers and live entertainment every day.

Your accommodation will be for 4 nights on a half board basis in a chalet or chalet hotel with a secure lock up for your bikes, and an all important hot tub! Transfers with your bike from Geneva airport are included on Thursday afternoon at 6pm, with a return transfer to Geneva on Monday morning at 10 am.

To ride the organised course you must register on (or soon after) the 15th February 2012. It costs 45 euros which includes your lifts for the day and free refreshments in any of 8 well placed stops. Places are limited so please don’t delay. Kids between 11 15 can also ride for the reduced price of 20 euros. Bikes can be hired in resort but ideally you should bring your own – a 140mm all mountain bike is ideal but people ride the course on hardtails and 180mm freeride rigs too.
